volt ge of your speci ic region. Plug the device only into
properly grounded socket with n output r ting of t le st 6A
(if you re using
sk n electrici n for dvice). While the device is in oper tion,
the socket must be e sily ccessible in the event of n emer-
gency. The m nuf cturer sh ll not ssume ny li bility for
ccidents resulting from de icient or non-existing grounding.
If the socket should not be comp tible with the plug of your
ppli nce, ple se h ve the socket repl ced by
electrici n.
Do not use ny met l p rts, knives, forks or simil r objects
to pl ce s ndwiches into the to ster or to remove them.
This could d m ge the nti-stick co ting. Alw ys use pl stic
or wooden spoons/tools.
An extension cord c n be used with this device provided
the pplic ble prec utions re t ken.
If you re pl nning to use n extension cord, m ke sure
th t the electric l indices of the extension cord re t le st
the s me s those of the device. If the device is grounded,
the extension cord must be three-prong nd grounded.
The longer cord must be positioned in such

work surf ce. Also m ke sure th t children c nnot pull on

Before its irst use, m ke sure you cle n the device. See
ch pter MAINTENANCE AND CARE.
Distribute some cooking oil over the to sting surf ces. Allow
the device to he t up in setting «5» for 5 minutes while it is
empty nd the cover is open. Next, turn the temper ture con-
trol down to setting «I», unplug it nd w it until the ppli nce
h s cooled down.
