Notes for Use
Connected Wattage
The three power levels of the appliances are as follows:
RA 3735 = 1500 W
RA 3736 = 2000 W
RA 3737 = 2300 W
With this connected load a separate supply line protected
by a 16 A household circuit breaker is recommended.
CAUTION: Overload
• If you use extension leads, these should have a cable
cross-section of at least 1.5 mm².
• Do not use any multiple sockets, as this appliance is
too powerful.
Safety Switch
Your radiator has a safety switch which turns off the elec-
tricity as soon as the appliance falls over. The safety switch
prevents dangerous situations caused by overheating.
CAUTION:
Always place the appliance in an upright position in order
that it is stable and in order to prevent malfunctions.
NOTE:
The appliance switches on again automatically as soon as
it is placed in an upright position.
Electrical Connection
1. Make sure that the iron voltage (see name plate) and the
line voltage match.
2. Unwind the cable completely.
3. Set the step switch for the heating power to and the
temperature control to MIN.
4. The mains plug should only be inserted into a correctly
installed socket with earthing contact. The power indica-
tor lights up.
Operation
Levels / Heating Power
Adjust the heating level by means of the selector switch.
Switch turned to level:
= low power
= medium power
= high power
= the appliance is off
NOTE:
Select low power, for example, for a small room. If this is
not enough, turn the radiator to the medium or high level.
Setting the Temperature
By regularly switching the radiator on and off, the thermostat
ensures that the desired temperature is maintained.
RA3735-3737_IM
In order to find the ideal thermostat setting, please proceed
as follows:
1. Turn the thermostat control to MAX.
2. As soon as the desired temperature has been reached,
turn the thermostat control slowly down until the radiator
turns itself off.
The radiator will now automatically stay at the desired
temperature.
CAUTION:
When the appliance is no longer being used you should
always remove the mains plug.
Turning Off
If you wish to terminate the operation, set the step switch for
the heating power to and the temperature control to MIN.
Then unplug the power plug from the sockets.
Cleaning
WARNING:
Always remove the power cable from the socket and allow
the radiator to cool down before cleaning it.
CAUTION:
Do not use any type of detergent, abrasive or polish
on the housing of the radiator as this may damage the
surface.
• Wipe off the radiator with a dry cloth in order to remove
dust.
• A damp cloth (not wet) can be used to remove stains.
Storage
• Remove the plug from the socket when you are not
using the appliance.
• Wind the mains cord economically onto the take-up.
• If the radiator is not going to be used for a prolonged
period it can be stored in its original packaging.
