STIMULATION SIGNS
Configuration of parameters:
At any point in the treatment the intensity of the impulses can be
increased or decreased as well as their frequency.
The intensity is related to the tension in each instance in which it
is applied to the muscular fibres. This value depends on different
factors (e.g. thickness of the skin, distance between electrodes,
muscle mass index or predominant type of muscular fibres in the
area). Most of all your should consider that the greater muscle mass
in the intermediate area between the electrodes requires a greater
intensity from the impulses.
As for the frequency, this is related to the speed at which the
massages or muscle stimulations seems to be carried out. The exci-
tation intervals are produced more often at a higher frequency.
Both the frequency values and the intensity values should be confi-
gured according to their own sensations. A tingling feeling indicates
that the intensity is appropriate and on the other hand, a sensation
of discomfort or pain indicates that the intensity should be reduced.
Output tension:
The maximum voltage that this electro-stimulator provides for
a charge of 500Ω is 15V and occurs when intensity level 10 is
selected. On the other hand, when level 1 is selected, the output
voltage reduces to 0.15V. The minimum value represents 1% of the
maximum value for this product.
The variations in the output voltage occur directly proportional to
the changes in charge (at a greater charge a greater voltage and a
lower charge and a lower voltage). It should be mentioned that, the
electrical current (number of electrons which are made to circulate
through the body per unit of time) does not seem to be affected by
the charge where it is applied (amount of muscular tissue that it
goes through).
The greatest voltage spikes are given when level 10 is selected and
the charge is excessively large. In these circumstances the tension
can reach 200V (open circuit). They are short spikes in voltage with
those which transmit an efficient value (RMS) lower than 2.7V.
Massage rollers:
Using this type of device it is possible to apply three types of very
different massages.
1. Conventional massage: A group of trains of impulses are different
that remain for 4.5 seconds when each one is activated and then
deactivate for 2.6 seconds. This process is repeated frequently.
Each train of impulses is made made up of signals that are activa-
ted between 100 and 240 μs with a frequency of 16 ms.
2. Tapping Treatment: A group of discreet impulses of about 0.4 ms
are generated and are repeated every 250 ms.
3. Shiatsu Treatment: A group of trains of impulses are different that
remain for 4 seconds when each one is activated and then deacti-
vate for 1 second. This process is repeated frequently. Each train
of impulses is made made up of signals that are activated between
