HARNESS INFORMATION

Seago lifejacket models with a harness soft loop incorporated on the belt can be used to attach
a safety line. Seago have a range of safety lines that can be used please refer to Seago or your
local dealer for more information on all of the available options.
When using a 2 hook safety line with a harness model lifejacket, connect one hook to the soft
loop and the other hook to a secure point or a jackstay line. While attached you may safely walk
around the boat.
When using a 3 hook safety line with a harness model lifejacket, connect one hook to the soft
loop and anther hook to a secure point or a jackstay line. While attached you may safely walk
around the boat. The 3rd hook will enable the wearer to transfer to another secure point/jackstay
line safely by staying connected at all times during transfer.
DECK HARNESS CONFORMS TO: ISO 12401
The Anchorage point should be able to withstand forces greater than 1 tonne.
Regularly inspect the harness and stitching for any signs of wear or damage.
WARNING: The deck safety harness and safety line are intended to prevent the user falling
overboard. They do not provide protection against falls from a height.
WARNING: The deck safety harness and safety line may transmit very large forces. Only attach
to strong hooking points or jack-lines.
WARNING: It is unsafe to wear this harness loose. The harness shall be worn tightly in order to
be effective.
