4. Safety instructions

Note: Dangerous ultraviolet radiation. The radiation from the UVC
bulb is harmful to eyes and skin! Never operate the Bitron bulb outside
of the housing! Never operate the Bitron without the cleaning rotor as this
offers eyesight protection from UVC radiation.

For your own safety, please contact an electrical specialist for questions and
problems.

Never immerse the device in water!

Always unplug the power cords of all devices located in the water, and
unplug the power cord from this device before executing work on this device
-
Only operate the Bitron from an electrical outlet with contact protection. This
must have been set up in accordance with the respective national directives
(VDE, EN...). Insure that the PE conductor extends all the way to the Bitron.

Never use installations, adapters, extension or cords or connecting lines
without PE contact.

Connecting lines to the power network may not have a diameter less than
rubber hose lines with the short designation HO5 RNF. Extension cords must
satisfy the DIN VDE 0620 standard.

Insure that Bitron is equipped with a measured residual current protective
fixture (FI or RCD) with a measured residual current that is not more than 30mA.

Electrical installations for garden ponds and swimming pools must correspond
to national construction determinations.

Compare the electrical data of your power supply with that on the nameplate.
These data must agree.

Position the Bitron where it cannot be flooded!

Do not operate the Bitron if there are people in the water!

Do not carry or pull the Bitron by the power cord!

Keep the connecting points (power plugs) dry!

Do not operate the Bitron, if the connecting line, view glass or housing
appear to be defective!

Never pump any liquid other than water!
-
Never open the Bitron casing, or parts that belong to it, if there are not
specific instructions in this regard in the operating instructions.

Never operate the Bitron without water flow-through!
-
The distance between Bitron and pond must be at least 2 m.

Attention! Never operate the Bitron with more than 0.5 bar (5 mwc) water
pressure!

Note: With Bitron the integrated temperature monitor shuts off the bulb when
it overheats. When it cools down, the Bitron automatically switches on again.

Lay the hoses and the connecting line in such a manner that they present no
obstacle, and that the possibility of damage is excluded!

If frost is expected, then you must deinstall the Bitron with integrated UVC.

Setup the Bitron so that it is not exposed to direct sunlight.

Please observe the local noise ordinances.
