Intended use
The Profinaut series, in the following termed unit, has been exclusively produced for pumping normal pond water for
fountain systems and is to be used at water temperatures of between 4° C to +35° C and a 230 Volt operating voltage.
The unit is frost proof.
Use other than that intended
Danger to persons can emanate from this unit if it is not used in accordance with the intended use and in the case of
misuse. If used for purposes other than that intended, our warranty and operating permit will become null and void

We declare conformity in the sense of the EC directive, EMC directive (89/336/EEC) as well as the low voltage directive
(73/23/EEC). The following harmonised standards apply: EN 60335-1, EN 60335-2-41, EN 55014-2, EN 61000-3-2,

Safety information
OASE has manufactured this unit according to the highest quality standards and the valid safety regulations. Despite the
above, hazards for persons and assets can emanate from this unit if it is used in an improper manner or not in accordance
with its intended use, or if the safety instructions are ignored.
For safety reasons, children and young persons under 16 years of age as well as persons, who cannot recognise
possible danger or who are not familiar with these operating instructions, are not permitted to use the unit!
Please keep these operating instructions in a safe place! Also hand over the operating instructions when passing the unit
on to a new owner. Ensure that all work with this unit is only carried out in accordance with these instructions.
The combination of water and electricity can lead to danger for life and limb, if the unit is incorrectly connected and
misused.
Never open the unit housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the operating instructions.
Never run the unit without water!
Compare the electrical values of the power supply with those on the type plate on the packing or on the unit itself.
Ensure that the unit is supplied via a fault current protection (FI or RCD) with a reference fault current of 30 mA maximum.
Do not operate the unit if persons are in the water! Never use the pump for fluids other than water! For your own safety,
please consult a qualified electrician when you have questions or encounter problems!
Protect the connection cable when burying to avoid damage. Only use cables approved for outside use. Protect the plug
connection from moisture.
Installation
Only use the unit in its horizontal position and ensure stable seating on a firm ground. The unit must be positioned below
the water surface level. The unit can be placed within the pond (submersed) or outside of the pond (dry). Please note the
installation examples (A and B). Do not carry or pull the unit using the connection cable. Ensure that the unit will never
run without water flowing through!
To fit the suction hose with the unit installed outside of the pond (dry), remove the two strainer cheeks by unscrewing the
screws, then remove the front plate of the strainer.
For replacement, the support foot (C) can be removed by releasing the locking lever (D) at the underside of the support
foot and pulling it to the rear. To install the support foot, push the pump body onto the foot until it engages (E).
