power cord before performing any main-
tenance work on the printer.

Only use cleaning agents that have
been approved by the manufacturer.
Weidmüller is not liable for damages
caused by the usage of other non-
approved cleaning agents.
• Remove dust and paper remains from inside the
printer using a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
• Clean the outer surfaces with an all-purpose
cleaning agent.
5.1
Cleaning the print head
The print head is precision manufactured and there-
fore very sensitive. Dirt and debris can collect on the
print head during the printing process. This contami-
nation can damage the print head and lower the
quality of print.
Therefore it is important to use high-quality printing
media and to regularly clean the print head. Clean
the print head after each ribbon roll or after three la-
bel rolls have been printed.
NOTICE
Do not damage the print head!
Never use sharp or hard objects to clean
the print head.

CAUTION!
The print head is dangerously hot!
The print head can become very hot
during printing. Allow the head to cool
down before starting maintenance work.
1 Unlatch the print head module and raise it up.
2 Remove any ribbon (if used).
3 Moisten a cotton swab (Q-tip) with alcohol and
use it to gently clean the print head.
5.2
Cleaning the label feed
roller
Remove any deposits or dirt from the label feed
roller after each label roll has been printed.
1 Unlatch the print head module and raise it up.
2 Turn the label feed roller and use a cotton swab
soaked in alcohol to clean off any dirt.
