Initial commissioning procedure
1 Open the cover.
2 Unlatch the print head module and raise it up.
3 Put the ribbon roll on one of the ribbon winders and put the empty core on the other winder. If the film is
narrower than 110 mm, position the roll and core in the centre of the corresponding winder.
4 Pull out the button for the ribbon unwinding process. Insert the ribbon roll and the winder into the wind-off
holder. Release button into original position.
As you put both winders in, be sure that you insert the wider side into the holder until it snaps into
place.
5 Tape the end of the ribbon to the empty core.
6 Guide the film past the print head module as shown in the illustration.
7 Pull out the button for the ribbon winding process. Insert the core and the winder into the wind-up holder.
Release button into original position.
8 Turn the button clockwise in order to wind up and tighten the ribbon on the core.
9 Push down on the print head module until it snaps back in.
10 Close the cover.
