7. Welding the guide profile in place for the drawbridge leveller, type C

Welding
The butt joint surface shown in the figure must be prepared for a V4 welded joint in the area indicated with dotted lines.
The butt joint surface on the connecting profile must be prepared in the same way.
The connecting profile must be attached with tack welds, the joint must then be lined up and securely welded. The rest of the connecting
profile must then be welded in place as described previously. No offset is permitted.
The end stops (3) must be fitted to the beginning and end of the guide profile (1) after fitting the drawbridge leveller, in accordance with
the figure (page 9).
All welded joints must be cleaned up, the transitions at the butt joints must be ground back to produce a flush surface.
Next, all welded joints must be given a protective coating to prevent corrosion.
Check and if necessary correct profile alignment.

Painting welded and damaged surfaces:
Surfaces that are to be painted must be dry and free of dirt, grease, rust, etc.
Use a wire brush and thinner.
Spray cold galvanising paint on the surfaces and allow to dry for approximately 30 minutes
After installation, apply a final coat of paint to all areas of paint damage using the touch-up paint provided.
This installation manual must be given to the customer and kept safely during the entire period of use!
