V. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
GUIDELINES
Before you start cleaning the device, ensure that it is unplugged and has
cooled down. Prior to the first use or in order to remove the odor after
cooking, wipe the bowl and the inner lid of the device with a vinegar-
water solution and boil half a lemon using BOIL/SOUP for 15 minutes
(pressure cooker mode). Use a soft cloth and mild soap to clean.
DO NOT use a sponge with hard or abrasive surface; solvent and abrasive
cleaning methods are not allowed.
DO NOT immerse the device in water or wash it under running water.
Clean the housing as necessary.
We recommend cleaning the bowl after each use. The bowl is dishwasher
safe. Make sure to wipe the outer surface of the bowl after cleaning to
ensure it is completely dry before the next use.
12
We recommend cleaning the steam release valve, consisting of the inner
and outer parts, the sealing ring, and condensation collector after each use:
1. Remove the steam release valve located on the outer side of the lid,
by pulling it up. Clean the regulator.
2. Unscrew the protective cover of the valve located on the inner side
of the lid. Rinse steam release outlet and protective cover with warm
running water.
3. Screw the protective cover back on, put the steam valve regulator into
its original position by applying slight pressure.
4. Remove the sealing ring located on the inner side of the lid. Rinse
under warm running water and put back, ensuring that it is properly
sealed.
To clean the shutoff valve on the inner side of the lid wipe it and the rub-
ber sealing ring with a moist sponge or towel.
Pull the condensation collector down to remove. Rinse and return to its
original position.
