The torch should also be prepared with the right consumables for the material used. This includes using a specific tip
and guide for the section of the wire in use. For aluminium, a Teflon or graphite guide is required. Torches of more
than three metres length are not recommended. If you want to use a longer toch, you should use a "push-pull" torch.
It is important to connect the torch firmly to the winder to avoid overheatings or brownouts.
Make sure that no part protrudes from the coil of wire.
The end of the wire must be filed so that it slides properly and does not get stuck or damage the guide. Adjust the
brake so that the coil does not continue rotating when the motor stops. Excessive pressure on the brake can cause
the drive motor to skid, causing defects in the weld. Pass the wire through the motor rollers so that it penetrates
10cm into the torch's towline and then close the roller clamps.
The wire feeding system components are subject to wear. For optimum welding quality, the maintenance of
The appropriate shielding gas must be connected for each type of material. An unsuitable gas can cause incorrect
welding or equipment malfunction. It is important to keep clean the torch diffuser for an optimal distribution of the
shielding gas.
