Every 200 hours:

display.
Annually:
► Have the robotic mower and the docking station inspected
and maintained by an authorized STIHL iMow servicing
dealer after the mowing season ends.

21.2 Inspecting the Mowing Blade

WARNING
The mowing blade has sharp edges. If it contacts your flesh,
it will cut you, even if it is not moving. Always wear heavy-
duty work gloves when mounting or otherwise handling the
mowing blade, @ 5.3.
WARNING
Never use a dull or damaged mowing blade. Working with a
dull blade leads to increased vibration, unsatisfactory cutting
results and increased wear, in particular if you use the
robotic mower on sandy ground or use it frequently under
dry conditions. A damaged mowing blade may vibrate,
crack, break or come off the robotic mower, which may result
in serious or fatal injury or property damage. Make sure the
mowing blade is sharp and in good condition before starting
work.
WARNING
Never attempt to sharpen the mowing blade. The mowing
blade must be replaced when it becomes dull, or every 200
operating hours whichever occurs first. STIHL recommends
having your iMow's mowing blade replaced by an authorized
STIHL iMow servicing dealer to reduce the risk of severe or
fatal injury from an improperly mounted mowing blade.
To inspect the mowing blade:
► Activate the disabling device, @ 9.
► Tilt the robotic mower onto its side and lean it securely
against a stable wall. Carefully clean the mowing deck and
mowing blade, @ 20.
70
► Use a caliper to check the blade width. Blade width must
be at least a = 1 in. (25 mm) at its narrowest point.
► Use a caliper to check the blade thickness. Blade
thickness must be at least b = 0.05 in. (1.3 mm) at its
narrowest point.
► Replace the mowing blade if the measured values are
outside the permissible limits.

21.3 Replacing the Mowing Blade

WARNING
A cracked, damaged or worn out mowing blade may shatter
at high speeds and cause serious or fatal injury. To reduce
the risk of injury from broken parts, check the condition of
the mowing blade before mounting and at regular intervals
thereafter. Do not mount a worn, broken or damaged
mowing blade.
WARNING
The mowing blade has sharp edges. If it contacts your flesh,
it will cut you, even if it is not moving. Always wear heavy-
duty work gloves when mounting or otherwise handling the
mowing blade, @ 5.3.
