CAUTIONS
• U.S. Federal law restricts this device to sale by or on the order of a physician.
• Make sure console switch is turned off and pressure is depleted before removing the probe.
• Operating cylinder must be at room temperature in order to stabilize the gas pressure (68 °F to 74 °F, 18
Cold will decrease the system's efficiency and significantly increases defrost time. Heat causes excess gas consumption.
• Allow time for temperature recovery if extremes have been experienced. Do not store gas cylinders near heaters, radiators, or
other heat sources, as heat will increase the gas pressure within the cylinder.
• Do not mix or use gases other than N
• Do not use wrenches, hammers, or other tools to connect Wallach equipment to gas cylinders.
• Use only non-siphon type gas cylinders.
• To ensure optimal performance, only medical grade gas free of contaminants should be used.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
The WA1000B console system is used for a variety of gynecology and dermatology cryosurgical procedures.
WARNINGS
• Do not use overfilled cylinder; gas pressure may be excessive and present a hazard. If gas pressure gauge reads
2
below 40 kg/cm
, replace the cylinder. If cylinder pressure is above the 70 kg/cm
Do not operate freezer if gauge is in the red.
• Move cylinder to a well-ventilated area when venting N
hose. Nitrous oxide in excessive concentrations may be hazardous to health.
• Visually inspect cryo instrument and tips prior to each use. Discontinue use of any product suspected of being
damaged. Such product should be returned to Wallach Surgical Devices for inspection and service.
• At no time should chlorine mixtures (bleach) or iodine-based products be used for soaking or cleaning Wallach
cryotips. Cryotips will degrade if exposed to such solution.
• In case of malfunction, close gas cylinder master valve.
• In the event of a defrost failure, turn tank off; leave tip in place. Remove tip when defrost is evident or use warm water
to expedite.
• Do not depress triggers while changing tips. If triggers are depressed, injury may occur due to tip separation from
cryosurgical freezer.
• Do not soak cryotips as lines can become clogged.
• Moisture in lines and orifices of the cryotips, and cryo console can cause sputtering, poor freeze and other
malfunctions. Whenever using fluids or steam to clean or sterilize, all gas lines and cryotip orifices must be plugged.
