Safety
− Lay the power cord so that it does not pose a tripping
hazard.
The buffet server is fitted with a short power cord to
reduce the risk of tripping.
− Do not kink the power cord and do not lay it over sharp
edges of tables or counters.
− Exercise care when using extension cords.
− When using extension cords, make sure that:
• the line voltage of the extension cord corresponds to
the data on the rating plate,
• the cord does not pose a tripping hazard,
• the cord is not kinked or laid over sharp edges of tables
or counters, where it can be pulled on by children.
− Do not let the power cord come in contact with hot
surfaces.
− Only use the buffet server indoors. Do not use the buffet
server in damp rooms or in the rain.
− Never store the buffet server such that there is a risk of it
falling into a tub or sink.
− Never reach to retrieve an electrical device if it has fallen
into water. In such a case, immediately disconnect the
plug.
− Never insert any objects into the housing.
− Always switch the buffet server off and unplug it when you
are not using it, when you intend to clean it, or in the event
of a malfunction.
− In order to disconnect the buffet server, turn the
temperature control to the "OFF" position and unplug.
The buffet server is fitted with a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does
not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in
any way.
