• with 10H4 Skin Care-Moisturising Lotion
If the skin feels dry, apply Streifeneder 10H4 Skin-Care Moisturizer It moisturises the skin and
makes it smooth and supple. Do NOT apply the lotion prior wearing the sealing lip liner.
14 Skin protection
• with Skin Care Skin Protection Cream 10H3
For dry or stressed skin, the stump can be massaged with Streifeneder 10H3 Skin Care-Skin
Protection Cream. It creates an effective protective film on the skin through thin, even application.
15 Important information
Please consult your orthopaedic technician or doctor immediately if you notice fitting problems
or damages of the sealing lip liner; otherwise the function of the sealing lip liner may not be
properly provided any longer.
16 Notes regarding safety
• Before providing a silicone liner, the user's situation must be carefully examined and
documented (see sections Contraindications and Mobility class). Furthermore, concomitant
illnesses and medications should be considered. For example, kidney diseases and the
medications administered for them can lead to volume changes of the residual limb, because
water retention is reduced. As a result, the silicone liner can become too big.
• Selecting the correct size is imperative.
• The Liner must be carefully washed 2 – 3 times before first use.
• The socket must be prepared carefully.
• The trimmed liner must be free of sharp edges, corners or folds. These can lead to skin
problems for the user.
• The method for putting on the liner must be carefully explained to the user and should be
practiced several times.
• Check if there are any air pockets. If air pockets exist, please massage them out.
• Please explain liner care and skin care to the user in detail. Experience has shown that
improper care can lead to the most common cases of skin irritation.
• Give the instructions for users to the user. Inform the user extensively and carefully about the
products listed there and practice the use of the liner with the user.
• The liner must NOT be pulled up with sharp objects or fingernails.
• The liner must not be washed in the washing machine.
• All information consists of recommendations and must be adapted to the user's needs.
