Double-function
The 2 ports in the red circle are port A. The 2 ports in the yellow circle are port B. Preferably
use the port with the plastic cap. The port that is not used must be properly sealed with a
steel sealing plug.
EP320D / EP420D:
When the pump lever is in position A and the button of the remote control is pressed, port A
is put under pressure. Port B is not under pressure. When the lever is in position B and the
button of the remote control is pressed, port B is put under pressure. Port A is not under
pressure. See the drawing below for the position of the lever:
EP320DS / EP420DS:
When the 'Advance' (A) button on the remote control is pressed, port A is placed under
pressure and port B is not under pressure. When the 'Return' (B) button on the remote
control is pressed, port B is placed under pressure and port A is not under pressure.
3�3 Trial run
The machine is supplied without oil. The hydraulic oil provided is suitable for most
applications. Special hydraulic oil must be used for applications with lower ambient
temperatures. The reservoir must be filled before the machine can be trial run:
1. Clean the pump around the filling opening to avoid getting dirt in the reservoir.
2. Remove the filler cap.
3. Use a clean funnwel with a filter to fill the pump.
4. Fill the pump with new hydraulic oil. The oil level should be 1.5 to 2 cm under the lid. The
total capacity of the reservoir is 20 litre.
5. Remove the funnel and put the filler cap back on. Screw it on properly, but not too tight.
The rubber washer ensures a good seal. Check that the valve in the filler cap is open. This
stops pressure building up in the reservoir.
