Fault messages

Risk of injury caused by rotating roller brush.
You can injure yourself on the rotating roller brush.
Switch the vacuum cleaner off before dealing with any problems. Use the On/
Off switch on the Comfort handle to do this.
Fault messages are displayed with a quick flashing light on the battery charging
state indicator on the PowerUnit.
Problem
Top light is flashing
quickly
Bottom and top lights
are flashing quickly
Bottom and middle
lights are flashing
quickly
Possible cause and solution
"Comfort handle not recognized" error
 Remove the Comfort handle and reconnect it (see
"Installation and connection" – "Connecting the
Comfort handle").
 Remove the battery, wait for 10 seconds, then
reinsert it.
Internal system error
 Remove the battery, wait for 10 seconds, reinsert it,
and charge it.
"Battery overheating" or "Battery not recognized"
error
 Wait for approximately 30 minutes before switching
the vacuum cleaner back on again.
 Insert an original Miele AP01 / AP02 / AP03
lithium-ion rechargeable battery (HX LA).
