Warning signs:
Warning signs with symbols without text are found on
the rotary valve. The symbols are explained below.
Never put your hand into the rotary valves inlet or outlet
while the rotary valve is in operation.
Read the user manual carefully and observe the warn-
ing texts in the user manual and on the rotary valve.
Always disconnect power to the rotary valve before
repair and maintenance, and make sure it cannot be
started by mistake.
Installation:
The rotary valve can be mounted on vertical OK200
piping inlet and horizontal OK160 pipe outlet.
The rotary valve is designed with stainless internal
components, but not all external surfaces are stainless
and thus protected against corrosion.
It is important that the outlet for horizontal connection
is oriented as shown, otherwise capacity of the rotary
valve will be reduced.
If the rotary valve is mounted on an outlet for horizontal
connection, the base must be supported and securely
fastened.
If the rotary valve is suspended in a vertical pipework
system, it must be secured with a wire or similar so that
it cannot accidentally fall down.
NB - The rotary valve can be rotated 180 degrees
in relation to the horizontal outlet, if there are space
problems with the gearmotor oriented as shown in the
sketch.
Electrical installation:
Check that the on-site electrical supply matches the
specifications for the motor. All local factory inspector-
ate regulations must be complied with.
Power connection must be carried out by an authorised
electrician, and the motor must be protected against
overloading by a motor protection device. There must
be a separate main switch that can be locked with a
key.
The direction of rotation of the rotor is indicated by an
arrow on the rotary valve. If the direction of rotation is
incorrect, the capacity is reduced, and the motor may
be overloaded.
When connecting the motor, do the following:
1. Remove the terminal box cover and connect the
motor according to below.
2. Connect the power and check the direction of rota-
tion on the rotary valve.
3. If the direction of rotation is correct, refit the termi-
nal box cover. If not, swap the connection between
2 phases, check rotation, and refit the cover.
