Digital temperature monitor and controller for controlling heating and cooling units
With the purchase of this digital measuring and regulating unit, you have selected a top quality product. It has
been specifically designed for aquaristic purposes. With this unit, you can continuously measure and control the
temperature of the water in your aquarium. The PRO version only differs from the standard version in the
measuring range and the length of the sensor cable (see technical data).
1. Included in shipment
The Aqua Medic T controller twin 2.0 PRO is generally delivered with a saltwater-resistant temperature sensor.
The unit is ready for connection. The units to be controlled (heaters, fans, coolers) are connected to the double
socket.
2. Description
Socket No. 1 is provided for controlling fans or coolers. The maximum output is approx. 1,200 watts. Socket
No. 2 can be used to control a heater of any type (glass or metal heating element, low-voltage cable heater in
conjunction with a transformer, hot water supply via a solenoid valve or a room heater). The maximum switching
capacity here is also 1,200 watts. Due to the high inrush currents, cooling units may only be connected up to a
current consumption of 460 watts.
3. Safety instructions
-
When working in the aquarium, always disconnect all units from the power supply system before putting your
hands into the water. Connect all units to the mains via a residual current device with a maximum differential
current of 30 mA.
-
Suitable for indoor use only.
-
Not suitable as a toy for children. Keep out of reach of children without supervision.
-
Protect sockets and controllers from moisture (humidity < 80%), splash water and condensation.
-
It is recommended to form drip loops with the cables to prevent any water running along cables from getting
into sockets.
-
Do not overload sockets.
-
Never connect to a socket of which voltage values do not match the voltage values specified in the technical
data.
-
Never connect heating units or cooling devices of which voltage values do not match the voltage values
specified in the technical data.
4. Installation
-
Connect to 220 - 240 V/50 Hz power source.
-
Place the temperature sensor into the aquarium. After a few minutes, the actual aquarium water
temperature is indicated.
