logic preferred.
Condensate drain connections:
• Where the fan coil is to be used for operation in
cooling mode, connection to a condensate drain
is required.
• The condensate drain must be dimensioned as
indicated in this manual.
Electric connections:
• The electrical circuit must be provided with a
grounding and protection device sized to power
the unit.
• The electrical connection must always be on the
side opposite to the hydraulic connection.
• The unit is provided with a terminal board for
the electrical connections (power, valves, control
panel, etc.).
PREPARATION FOR INSTALLATION
• Preparation of the fan coil
- Remove the casing of the fan coil (in the units
that are equipped with this).
ATTENTION:some versions include an electri-
cal connection with a microswitch and/or with
the ambient temperature probe positioned on
the casing. In this case, be careful not to tear the
electrical wires when disconnecting the connec-

• Where a wire control panel or a centralised con-
trol system is to be used, the position must be
reachable by connection cables.
Connections to electric motors:
• Always consult the wiring diagrams of the unit
and of the control panel.
• The connections between the electric motor and
control panel must comply with the wiring dia-
grams.
• Some panels controls might have speeds coded
with different numbers with respect to the mo-
tor. Always and only refer to the definitions of
Minimum, Medium and Maximum speed.
• Some fan coils are equipped with motor pow-
ered with 6 or 7 speeds.
The electrical connections, shown on the terminal
board applied to the side of the fan coil , indicate
tors of the microswitch. As such, the probe
must be removed carefully from the casing.
- If the installation requires hydraulic attachments
to the right, rotate the coil and move the electri-
cal connections on the left side.
Attention: the batteries with double circuit are
not reversible. Specify the location of the atta-
chments when placing an order.

• Selection of the installation position
- The wall or ceiling must be capable of supporting
the unit weight.
- Determine the access points in the fan coil of the
hydraulic and electrical connections and of the
condensate drain.
- The access of connections in the fan coil can
take place both from the rear side and
from underneath for the units with cover.
For units without casing access can also be from
• Installation of the fan coil
- The frames of fan coils are provided with holes
for attachment to the wall.
- To facilitate the operations of installation, in
particular for application to the ceiling, AMP and

3 speeds.
The units are supplied ready to work in standard
configuration with the 3 preset speeds.
To change the set of speeds change the connec-
tions on the connectors located directly on the
motor.
To access the motor remove the filter and the
front guards.
It is recommended to perform the configuration of
speeds during installation.
ATTENTION: After having completed installation
check the operation of the condensate drainage
system, the seal of the hydraulic fittings, insula-
tion of the ducts and pipes.
Perform an operational test.
- Apply any accessories to the fan coil. Refer to the
compatibility table and the documentation of
each component.
ATTENTION: some accessories may not be
mounted at the same time on the same unit

compatibility with any other accessories).
- Attach the fan coil using expansion plugs.
The expansion plugs must be chosen depending
on the weight they must support and on the
characteristics of the wall.
