NASAL CANNULA:
DATA RECORDING:
1.
The testing sequence of the sensors lasts 30 seconds. During this time the lights on
the front screen (nasal cannula and oximetry) blink in green until it is detected that
the sensors are properly positioned. At that moment they will turn green and remain
fixed.
2.
If after 30 seconds they do not detect a signal, the icon corresponding to the incor-
rectly positioned or missing sensor will turn yellow.
3.
The overall condition light on the upper screen will start in yellow and will remain that
way while there are sensors that are not correctly positioned. It will change to green
when it detects a correct signal in all the sensors.
4.
Once the Testing Sequence is complete (30 seconds), the unit will begin to save data,
regardless of whether any sensor is incorrect.
5.
The lights will stay on for 3 more minutes, and then they will turn off to avoid exces-
sive battery use, but the unit will continue to record normally.
6.
If at any time during the night the patient wishes to verify that the BTI APNIA unit is
still recording, simply check that the red light on the finger sensor is on or press the
on/off button once and all the lights of module will come on for 5 seconds, in the
status (green/yellow) they are in at that precise moment.
If, during the data recording, the nasal cannula or the pulse oximeter
sensor is dislodged, put them back following the guidelines in the section"
Positioning BTI APNiA". The data recording continues even if the cannula or
sensor is dislodged.
If you accidentally turn the unit off during recording, it can be switched on
as explained in the section "switching on".
SWITCHING OFF:
1.
Press the on/off button for 5 seconds.
While holding the button down, all
the lights will blink in green, then
you will hear a long beep, the lights
will go out and the unit will stop re-
cording.
