AFTER THE RECORDING:
1.
Remove the nasal cannula and the pulse oximeter sensor from your finger.
2.
Loosen the elastic strap that secures the unit to your chest.
3.
Disconnect the nasal cannula and the sensor from the BTI APNiA module and replace
the protective cap on the nasal cannula connection. Disconnect the nasal cannula
and the sensor from the BTI APNiA module and put the protective cap back on the
nasal flow connector.
4.
Separate the nasal cannula and dispose of it with the conventional organic waste.
5.
Keep the rest of the unit in the case, as it was when you received it. The case has
a defined shape so you can position the unit correctly. Please observe this to avoid
transport damage.
6.
Finally, return the case and the pulse oximeter sensor to the corresponding doctor/
health care staff (so they can dispose of the pulse oximeter at a recycling centre:
Waste Collection Centre).
Both the nasal cannula and the pulse oximeter cable are single-use accesso-
ries, so you must discard them after use.
What problems could be caused by using it? Possible side effects
In prior studies in which BTI APNiA has been used, adverse effects due to its use were not
described. Nevertheless, you may experience adverse reactions of skin sensitivity to the
self-adhesive pulse oximetry sensor. In these cases, remove the sensor immediately.
