Adjusting the keel of the upper cutting table

1.This chapter is not applicable to the model
w i t h o u t u p p e r t a b l e ( S C 3 1 0 W ,
SC390W and SLL390W).
2.You will need a slide gauge and a ruler (not
included) to carry out this adjustment.
Checking
1.Make sure that the machine is the horizontal
resting position by lowering the head and
locking it by rotating the head by means of
knob 32.
2.Loosen knob 46 for height adjustment of the
upper table 38.
3.Lower upper table 38 to abutment.
4.Tighten height adjusting knob 46 of the upper
table.
5.Loosen and remove fastening screws 40 and 41
of the movable guard 42.
6.Remove guard 42.
7.Loosen the both screws 48.
8.Remove upper table 38 by smoothly pulling it
upwards.
9.The distance between the inside of keel 39 and
the outside of the teeth of the disk must be
b e t w e e n 3 m m a n d 5 m m a t a n y v i s i b l e
point.
10.If the measurements are not within the range of
the figure, proceed to adjusting.
Adjusting
1.Make sure that the machine is the horizontal
resting position by lowering the head and
locking it by rotating the head by means of
knob 32.
2.Loosen knob 46 for height adjustment of the
upper table 38.
3.Lower upper table 38 to abutment.
4.Tighten height adjusting knob 46 of the upper
table.
5.Loosen and remove fastening screws 40 and 41
of the movable guard 42.
6.Remove guard 42.
7.Loosen the both screws 48.

8.Remove upper table 38 by smoothly pulling it
upwards.
9.Loosen the two keel adjusting screws 48.

10.Adjust the position of the keel 48 such that the
distance between the inside of keel 39 and
the outside of the teeth of the disk must be
between 3mm and 5mm at any point.
11.Tighten the two keel adjusting screws 48.
12.Position upper table 38 by applying it onto its
supports.
13.Tighten the two screws 48.
14.Position movable guard 42.
15.Tighten fastening screws 40 and 41 of the
movable guard 42.
9. Changing tools
Attention!
This operation must be carried out with the machine
unplugged and with the disk still. Use protective
gloves.
Removal of the cutting disk
IMAGES
1.Place the head in its upper blocking position by
tilting the head upwards until abutting.
2.Immobilize flange 17 by means of the flange
w r e n c h a s d e l i v e r e d t o g e t h e r w i t h t h e
equipment.
3.Loosen screw 18 clockwise with the tubular
k e y a s d e l i v e r e d t o g e t h e r w i t h t h e
equipment.
4.Tighten button 34 to unblock the movable guard

5.Clear guard 6 by pushing it upwards.
6.Remove flange 17, screw 18 and washer 19.
7.Hold cutting disk with one hand.
8.Remove flange 17, screw 18 and washer 19 with
the other hand.
9.Remove the disk to be replaced.
Changing the cutting disk

1.Carefully clean sawdust and debris from the
supports, flanges and the insides of the
guards.
