5.2. USE
Note: The fabric cleaner is for cleaning stains only. Always vacuum up dirt with a vacuum cleaner
and use a cloth to soak up excess liquids from a spillage, before using the fabric cleaner.
1.
Unwrap the power cord fully and insert the plug into the mains socket. Press the on/off
button to turn the appliance on. The power indicator light will illuminate (see Fig. 6).
2.
Press the water spray button to spray water onto the surface. Release the water spray
button to stop spraying (see Fig. 7).
3.
Tilt the wash tool forward so that it is in contact with the surface, to enable the suction inlet
to collect dirty water on the backward stroke. Over or under tilting the wash tool may result
in poor water pick up. Make sure all the water is sucked up and then allow the fabric to dry
thoroughly to prevent mould or odours (see Fig. 8).
■ Use the handle to carry the fabric cleaner. Do not pull the appliance by the hose.
■ Empty the dirty water tank before its contents exceed the MAX mark (see Emptying and
cleaning the dirty water tank in the Cleaning and care section). When the dirty water
tank has reached the maximum water level, the appliance will automatically stop and the
dirty water indicator full light will flash red (the float ball in the dirty water tank prevents
suction until it is emptied).
■ To avoid further staining or damage on surfaces, regularly check that the bottom of the
wash tool including the bristles are clean.
4.
For stubborn stains, use cleaning detergent on the stain according to the cleaning
detergent's instructions. Rub the stained area with the brush part to help it lift up the dirt and
then suck up the liquid from the fabric to remove the dirt (see Fig. 9).
Caution: Spot test any cleaning detergent in a discreet place to make sure it does not
damage the fabric.
5.
After use, press the on/off button to turn off the appliance. The power indicator light will turn
off. Unplug the appliance from the power socket (see Fig. 10).
Note: When you have finished using the appliance, always empty the water tanks and clean
all accessories to prevent unpleasant odours.
6. CLEANING AND CARE
Empty the water tanks and clean all parts thoroughly after each use.
Clean the foam filter at least once a month or more frequently if required.
Clean the main body with a slightly damp, soft cloth. Make sure that no liquid enters the
main body.
After cleaning, air dry all parts thoroughly. Then reassemble the fabric cleaner.
Regularly check the hose for any damage or leakage.
Warning:
Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or main unit in water or any other liquids as they
contain electrical components. Do not rinse them under the tap.
6.1. CLEANING THE CLEAN WATER TANK
1.
Pull the handhold on the top of the clean water tank upwards and lift off the tank. Turn
the screw cap anticlockwise to loosen and remove it. Pour away any remaining water
(see Fig. 11).
2.
Put the screw cap back onto the clean water tank. Slot the tank back onto the main body
(see Fig. 12).
3.
Hold the hose over a sink or drain. Press the on/off button to turn on the appliance and then
press the water spray button to remove any remaining water. Remove the tank and tilt the
appliance to remove any remaining water from the main body. (see Fig. 13).
6.2. EMPTYING AND CLEANING THE DIRTY WATER TANK
1.
Lift the dirty water tank upwards and remove it from the main body (see Fig. 14).
2.
Slightly pull the latch on the dirty water tank outwards and then lift off the tank cover. Pour
away the dirty water (see Fig. 15).
