CUT WORK
WARNING
• Conditions and altitude can affect carburetion.
• Do not let anyone near the mower while it is working or
while you are adjusting the carburetor.
HOW TO USE THE HANDLE
• To reduce fatigue when cutting hedges, the handle can be rotated
45º or 90º left or right
• Do not press the accelerator during this operation!
Do it this way:
1. Release the handle by pulling the lock lever.
2. Rotate the handle until the lever clicks into place.
3. When the handle is locked in its new position, you can apply the
throttle again.
(1) lock lever
• The handle can be turned even with the engine idling because
the hedge trimmer is equipped with a brake that stops the blades.
TRIM TECHNIQUES
Trim the sides of the hedge first, then the top.
Vertical cut:
• With the single edge blade hedge trimmer, always cut from the
bottom up.
• With the 2360 model with double edge blades, make an arc cut
from bottom to top, then back down to use both sides of the blades.
Horizontal cut:
• For best results, slightly incline the blade (5÷10º) towards the
cutting direction.
(1) Cut slowly, especially in thick hedges.
WARNING
Always follow safety precautions. The hedge trimmer should
only be used to trim hedges or small bushes. Cutting other
types of material is prohibited. Do not use the hedge trimmer
as a lever to lift, move or break objects, or mount it on fixed
supports. It is prohibited to apply tools or accessories other
than those indicated by the manufacturer to the power soc-
ket of the hedge trimmer. Do not use it to cut trees or grass.
• Work only at the necessary speed. Too much speed is superfluous.
• Avoid trimming thick branches that could damage the blades and
reduce the life of the guide systems.
• Always stand on the carburettor side and never on the muffler
side.
• To make the job easier and to obtain a better cut, tilt the pruning
shear 5 to 10º towards the object to be cut.
• When a new machine is operated for the first time, grease may
leak from the gearbox in the first few minutes. Since it is an excess,
there is no room for concern. Turn off the engine and clean it for
the next use.
• Always remember that the TIP of the line does the cutting. Best
results will be achieved by avoiding crowding of the cutting area
line. Let the unit cut at its own pace.
