Operating instructions
ENGLISH
To ensure that the device will function correctly, and have a
long service life, please comply with the information in
these Operating Instructions, as well as with the application
conditions and permissible data given in the Type 6518/
6519 data sheet:
• When planning the application of the device, and during its
operation, observe the general technical rules!
• Take suitable measures to prevent unintentional operation or
impermissible impairment!
• Note that lines and valves must not be unscrewed from systems
that are under pressure!
• Always switch off the voltage supply before working on the system!
• If these instructions are ignored, no liability will be accepted from
our side, and the guarantee on the device and on accessories will
also become invalid!
• Warning! The surface of the electromagnet can become very
hot during continuous operation. Danger of injury!
3/2, 5/2 or 5/3 way valve with 3/2 way pilot valve;
valve body with diaphragm, seat seals (3/2, 5/2)
or with gate valve (5/3)
• Service, supply and venting ports with G1/4 internal thread or
plug-in connection for external hose diameters of 8 mm
• Coil can be locked in 4 x 90° steps, in between which it can be
freely positioned around the armature guide tube
• Tightening torgue of the fixing nuts: max. 5 Nm
• Can be mounted in any position, preferably with the magnetic
system at the top.
• Red indicator pin shows pneumatic position: if the valve is not
switched, the pin can be pressed in; if the valve is switched , the
pin moves outwards. The indicating pin must be pushed in again
before every functional test
• Manuel override
• Media: filtered, compressed air (max. 10 µ); neutral gases
• The valve requires no maintenance

Voltage, electrical power, pressure range and nominal
diameter are specified on the rating plate
Voltage tolerance: ±10 %
• Electrical connection: unit socket type 2508 to tag connector of
coil (protection class IP 65);
fixing torque: 1 Nm
• When screwing down the unit socket onto the coil, ensure that the
flat seal is well seated!
• Attention! Jammed coils can cause coil overheating with AC!
Work on the unit must only be performed by skilled
personnel using suitable tools!
• Clean the pipe runs before fitting the valve!
• Observe the direction of flow!
• Never use the valve as a lever when screwing in the pipe
connections!
• Do not subject the valve housing to stress when fitting!
• Faults can be caused by dirt, short-circuits or interruptions in the
voltage
• In the event of fault, check the port connections, voltages, type of
current and operating pressures
