CHANGING THE COIL SPRING (BOMBER Z1 COIL)
1. Turn your preload adjuster counter-clockwise until it stops.
2. Use a chamfer-less 6-point 32 mm (or 1-1/4 in) socket to turn the topcap counter-clockwise and
remove it, then remove the spring spacers if present.
3. Compress the fork slightly to expose the coil spring. Pull the spring to remove it.
4. Lightly coat the outside of the new spring with Slick Honey™. Install the spring, with the washer on
top followed by the upper spring guide, into the upper tube and press down until it stops. Reinstall
the spring spacers if present.
5. Install the preload topcap and torque to 24.9 N•m (220 in-lb) with your chamfer-less 6-point 32 mm
(or 1-1/4 in) socket.
6. Set the sag according to instructions online at www.marzocchi.com.
