Read operator's instruction book before operating
this machine
Wear safety head,eye and ear protection.
1- Read and understand this manual before operating this
unit.Follow all warning and safety instructions.Save this manual
for future reference.
2- Use only genuine replacement parts,failure to do so may
cause poor fit and possible injury.
3- Wear appropriate clothing and safety articles such as:
boots,heavy duty trousers,gloves,protective eye wear,ear
protection and protective helmet.
4- Keep all by standers,children and pets at least 15 mt. (50
feet) during auger use.
5- Do not operate this auger when you are tired,ill or under the
influence of alcohol,drugs or medication.
6- Do not allow children to use the auger.
7- Keep firm footing and balance.Always keep both hands on
the handle.Keep the drill perpendicular to the soil.
8- Use the auger only for the tasks explained in this manual.
9- Inspect unit before each use.Make sure that the throttle lever
works freely,that the drill is free to move and is not in contact
with any foreign objects.Ensure that there are no fuel leaks.
10- Start the auger only in well-ventilated areas.Breathing
exhaust fumes can kill.
11- Carry the auger with the engine off and with the drill locked.
12- Replace the drill if cracked,chipped or damaged in any
way.
13- With the engine idling, the drill should not turn,if it does,
regulate the idle adjustement screw until the drill stops turning.
14- Never touch the drill or attempt any maintenance work
while the engine is running.
15- It is forbidden to attach any tools other than those which are
manufactured by Active.Do not use the auger PTO for any
applications not specified by the manufacturer.

16- Stop engine and allow to cool before refueling,fill the fuel
tank with the engine off and away from heat sources and do
not smoke while filling the tank or mixing fuel.
17- Do not remove the fuel tank cap when the engine is
running.
18- Wipe spilled fuel from the unit.Move at least 3 mt.(10 feet)
from fueling in site before starting engine.
19- Do not use fuel for cleaning operations.
20- Do not check the spark plug near the cylinder port.
21- Never work with a damaged muffler.
22- Clear the area before each use.Remove all objects.Inspect
that there are not any cables, mains or conduits
underground.Before to start to work get a map of the area
where you have to operate.
23- Before storing,allow the engine to cool and empty the fuel
tank.
24- Store the unit so that sharp objects will not accidentally
cause injury,away from heat sources and off the ground.
25- Never use a damaged,modified or improperly repaired or
assembled auger.Do not remove,damage or disactivate any
of the safety devices.Only use Active drills of the type indicated
in the specifications.
26- If the drill jams,stop the engine immediately.
27- Only loan your hauger to expert users who are completely
familiar with the hauger operation and correct use.Give other
users the manual with operating instructions,which they should
read before using the auger .
