BK-G...A with Absolute ENCODER (AE)
This has the same features as index Z6.
It can be used as a main index.
The ENCODER is suitable for connection to a
series-connected additional device (data logger
or bus system).
5. Pulse generator
WARNING!
The following safety instructions apply for meters which are
marked with and fitted with a pulse transmitter IN-Z6x:
Only for connection to intrinsically safe electrical circuits, see
chapter 8 (Technical data).
If the intrinsically safe electrical circuit is grounded from a
technical-safety
equipotential bond must cover the entire area of installation.
EN 60079-14 is to be noted when installing pulse transmitters.
The intrinsically safe electrical circuits of pulse transmitters IN-
Z63 and IN-Z64 are considered to be grounded at voltages > 10
V, if the plug connector housings are connected to the ground
potential.
The intrinsically safe electrical circuits of pulse transmitters IN-
Z61, IN-Z62 and IN-Z65 are to be considered as non-grounded.
For a possible connection of two (types IN-Z61, IN-Z63) or
three (IN-Z64) intrinsically safe circuits, the circuits must be
galvanically connected to each other for safety purposes; EN
60079-14 must be given due consideration.
Mode of operation:
A magnet in the last or last but one roller of the
mechanical index switches a reed contact in the
pulse generator.
A second reed contact allows magnetic tampering
attempts and cable discontinuities to be detected
(not in the IN-Z62).
Meters with mechanical index Z6 are delivered with an enclosed pulse
generator IN-Z61, with connection cable, rivet and seal. Pulse generators IN-
Z62, 63 and 64 are already fitted on the index.
