OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR KRAMP DIGITAL MOISTURE METER
The grinder must be cleaned carefully so the next measurement will be as accurate as the first. Before storage or when
switching to a different grain, residue from wet grains or oilseeds is easy to remove by grinding dry wheat
before brushing.
Clean the meter with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use strong cleaning agents and do not let the meter get wet.
Store in a dry place.
The meter turns off by pressing the ON/OFF button or automatically after a while when not used.

5. AVERAGE CALCULATION
The meter automatically calculates the average of the last four (4) measurements and displays it on the bottom right of
the result display. The meter memorises the average even if you switch off.
Average is cleared when a different grain is chosen.
6. ADJUSTING THE MOISTURE MEASUREMENT CALIBRATION OFFSET
We take every care to ensure your meter is accurate, but local varieties and growing conditions may affect
the result. To confirm accuracy, have your grain dealer test your crops and then adjust your Kramp moisture
meter to match the dealer's results:
1. Switch on
3. Press < and > at the same time
5. Use < or > to adjust
The offset is displayed at the bottom right corner of the display while a measurement is running. Value "+0.0%" means
no offset will be applied, and for example "+0.3%" means the meter will add 0.3 %-points to the result.
NOTE: Offset adjustment is separate for each grain.
7. ARBITRARY SCALE
A special measurement mode called the "arbirary scale" is located at the end of the grain list. It can be used in creation
of tables for manual moisture lookup for commodities not found on the built-in list of grains if a reference method (such
as oven dry test) is available for comparison. Arbitrary scale results range from 100 (wet) to 900 (dry).
Be sure to use a constant sample size small enough to allow the grinding cap to easily enter the thread on the test cell
center bolt. Do not measure commodities that could damage the grinding teeth or the test cell (very hard kernels, strong
acids or bases, release of liquid when ground or compressed). Measure near room temperature as there is no tempera-
ture compensation in the arbirary scale.
