Hour Meter and Oil Alert Indicator

Hour meter
The hour meter (a) indicates the accumulated hours of
operation. See Periodic Maintenance Schedule to
determine when maintenance should be performed.
Oil alert indicator
A red oil alert indicator light is in the upper left corner
of the hour meter (b). The oil indicator light indicates
that the low oil level protection system is shutting OFF
the engine before the oil level falls below a safe limit.
Note: The engine switch will remain in the ON
position.
Fill the oil to the appropriate level before operation.

Operating the Auto Idle Switch

The auto idle switch automatically reduces engine speed five seconds after all
appliances or tools attached to the generator have been turned off. The engine
automatically returns to full speed when a tool or appliance is turned back on.
To turn the auto idle feature on, push
the auto idle switch to ON (I). This
position is recommended while the
generator is running, to minimize fuel
consumption.
To warm up a cold engine, before work
begins place the auto idle switch in the
ON (I) position after starting. To avoid
frequent slow down/speed up cycling,
turn the auto idle switch to OFF (0).

Operating the Fuel Valve

Open the fuel valve (a) to allow the fuel to
flow from the fuel tank to the carburetor. Close the fuel
valve (b) to shut off the flow of fuel.
Make sure the fuel valve is open before starting the
machine. Be sure to close the fuel valve after shutting
down the machine and before transporting.
