PREPARATIONS
Caution:
Do not connect the power cord to an AC outlet
until all preparations are completed.
Unpacking and setting up (Fig. 1 — 3)
1. Remove the platter fixing screws and spacers
2. Strip off the adhered tape as shown in Fig. 2,and
remove the tonearm stopper packing and the
stylus cover.
The tonearm stopper packing can be removed
by sliding it in the direction of the arrow.
Notes:
° Keep the shipping screws and packing mate-
riais for re-use in transportation, etc.
@ The hook is an accessory for opening the dust
cover; mount it as shown in Fig. 3.
How to set the drive belt (Fig. 4)
Check
that the drive belt runs around the motor
pulley; if it does not, thread it so it does as shown in
Fig. 4. After this, place the platter mat on the platter.
Connection (Fig. 5)
Connect the power cord of this turntable to a wall
outlet or the AC OUTLET of your amplifier.
Connect the signal cords and wires as follows.
Signal cord:
To the LEFT (L) PHONO ter-
(white)
minal of the amplifier.
Signal cord: To the RIGHT (R) PHONO
(red)
terminal of the amplifier.
Ground wire:
To the GND
terminal of the
amplifier.
To the SYNCHRO terminal of
a suitable
cassette
deck,
amplifier or CD player.
Remote cable:
Note:
e Unless the ground wire is connected firmly,
hum may occur and synchro start may not
work.

Installation
Install this turntable on a fevel and stable surface.
When an amplifier or receiver is used on the right
side of this turntable, noise may be introduced from
its power supply section. In this case, install the
amplifier or receiver on the left side of this unit or
other places as recommended
in its instruction
book, etc.
Note:
@ When the power button is pressed after pre-
parations are finished, the tonearm may move
to the right and stop. This is because
the
tonearm has been released from the rest by
vibrations
in transportation
and
it is not a
malfunction.
When Used With Other JVC Equipment
When the turntable is arranged in a stack with other
JVC equipment, placed over a JVC synchronizer
terminal
attached
amplifier,
tuner
and
remote
controller, fasten the supports (supplied) to the back
of the unit with the screws provided, as shown in Fig.
6.

Vorsicht:

Auspacken und Aufstellen (Abb. 1 — 3)
1. Die Plattenteller Befestigungsschrauben
und
Distanzstiicke @—@
entfernen.
2. Das Klebeband wie in Abb.2 gezeigt entfernen
und die Tonarm-Stopper-Verpackung sowie die
Nadelkappe abnehmen.
Die Tonarm-Stopper-Verpackung
kann durch
Schieben
in Pfeilrichtung
abgenommen
werden.

Uberpriifen,

Antriebsriemen

die
Antriebsscheibe gelegt ist. Falls dies nicht der Fall
ist, dies wie in Abb.4 gezeigt durchfUhren. Hierauf
die Plattentellermatte auf den Plattenteller legen.

Aufstellung
Den
Plattenspieler
auf
eine
feste,
torizontale
Unterlage
stellen.
Wenn
ein
Verstéker
oder
Receiver
rechts
von
diesem
Plattenspeier
auf-
gestellt wird, kann
es durch
das Spannungs-
versorgungssystem
dieser
Gerate
zu
Stdrge-
rauschen kommen.
in einem solchen Fall den
Verstarker oder Receiver links vom Plateenspieler
aufstellen oder an anderen Positionen, tié in den
jeweiligen Bedienungsanieitungen etc. empfohien
werden.
Hinweis:
e Wenn nach Durchfiihrung der Vorbeeitungen
die Netztaste betatigt wird, wird msglicher-
weise der Tonarm
nach rechts beyegt und
stoppt dann. Dies tritt auf, wenn de Tonarm
auf Grund von Vibrationen beim lsansport
von der Ablage gelést wurde und bpedeutet
keine Fehifunktion.
