The dust created when working often poses a risk
to health (e.g. processing metal and paintwork
which may contain lead or other harmful mate-
rials). This dust should not be allowed to enter the
body. Wear an appropriate dust mask. Remove
any accumulation of dust thoroughly, e.g. by vacu-
uming with the appropriate special suction unit.
Materials that generate dusts or vapours that may
be harmful to health (e.g. asbestos) must not be
processed.
Do not work with magnesium.
Do not use the machine in environments where
there is the risk of explosion, in which sparks can
cause fire, explosions or similar.
Do not use saw blades.
Note on accident prevention: always secure the
grinder stand to a workbench using sturdy screws
of sufficient length.
Never operate the angle grinder without a safety
guard.
Align the safety guard on the angle grinder as
shown in the illustration on page 3.
Check the power tool and grinder stand for poten-
tial damage.
-Before further use, protective devices or lightly
damaged parts must be carefully inspected for
correct operation.
-Damaged protective devices and parts must be
repaired or replaced by an approved specialist
workshop, unless otherwise specified in the Oper-
ating Instructions.
Machine malfunctions, incl. safety guards or
cutting discs, must reported be immediately. The
malfunction must be rectified properly.
The cutting disc continues to rotate after the
machine has been switched off.
Do not touch the rotating cutting disc. Risk of
injury!
Secure the workpiece in the vice.
Do not try to machine extremely small workpieces.
During machining, the workpiece must be firmly
supported and secured against moving.
Long workpieces must be sufficiently supported.
Do not begin cutting until the machine reaches
maximum speed.
Use only the cutting edge of the cutting disc to cut.
Do not use the flat side of the cutting disc for
grinding jobs.
When working on workpieces with curves or
inclined surfaces, do not apply lateral pressure to
the cutting disc.
Ensure that sparks produced during work do not
constitute a risk to the user or other personnel and
are not able to ignite inflammable substances.
Endangered areas must be protected with flame-
resistant covers.
Make sure that fire-risk areas are always provided
with suitable fire extinguishers.
The workpiece may become hot when processed.
Caution, risk of burns!
