IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using this appliance, basic precautions must be taken, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE
- Use the iron for its intended use only.
- To reduce electric shock risk, do not immerse iron into water or other liquids.
- The iron must always be turned to "Off" before connecting or removing itfrom the socket. Never pull
on the cord to remove it from the socket: instead, grasp the plug and pull it to disconnect the
appliance.
- Keep cord away from hot surfaces. Leave the iron to cool completely before putting it away. Wrap
the card around the iron.
-Always unplug the iron from the electric socket when refilling or emptying the tank or when the
appliance is not in use.
- Do not use with damaged cord or ifthe iron has been dropped or is in some way damaged. To reduce
electric shock risk, do not try to open the iron but seek qualified personnel to examine the damage
and possible repair. Incorrect assembly can cause electric shock during use.
-Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used near children. Do not leave unattended
when connected to the power supply or on an ironing board.
- Touching the hot metal parts, hot water or steam can cause burns. Take care when turning the steam
iron upside down the tank may contain hotwater.
- The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface. When placing the iron on its stand,
ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
- Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years of age when it is energi-
zed or cooling down.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
- To avoid overloading, do not use a high wattage second appliance at the same time using the same circuit.
-If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 15-ampere extension cord must be used. Cord rated
for a lower load may overheat. Take care notto stretch the extension or let it twist.

- Before connecting the appliance, make sure the voltage corresponds to that indicated on the sticker
and that the electric socket supply is earthed.
- Nevertouch the appliance with wet hands orfeet if connected to electric supply.
- Never open the fili cap during use, consult filling instructions.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and alove and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lock of experience and knowledge if they
have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Do not direct vapour at people, ani mais or appliances that contai n electrical parts such as the inside of ovens.
-Press button on handle or on iron to make sure boiler is empty of residual pressure steam before
each refilling, make sure the boiler is empty and has no residual pressure steam by pressing the button.
-Never add detergent, alcohol, perfume or descaling products to the tank, if not expressly
recommended bythe manufacturer as this could negatively affect operation .
- Do nottouch hot surfaces when using the product. Leave the accessories to cool before replacing or
putting them away.
- Disconnectthe appliance after use, and before cleaning or servicing.
- Only use accessories and replacement parts approved by the manufacturer.
