- Make sure the contact tip and the liner are compatible with the diameter of
the weld wire and the grooved pulley feeding.
- Observing the position of the connections, set the torch in an appropriate
position. Tighten the euro connector nut to ensure good contact.
WARNING: The torch trigger should not be fed above 25 VAC or 60 VDC.
- Remove the contact tip, insert the wire in the torch, place the contact tip
back in its place, and cut the excess wire.
- Adjust the gas fl ow using the fl ow meter.
- Be sure there is adequate water fl ow before using the water-cooled torches.
- Clean and degrease the pieces that are to be welded; protect the point to
be welded from contamination.
- Keep the point to be welded away from air currents.
- Place the earth clamp on the part to be welded or the gauge, while ensuring
there are good conditions for electrical contact.
- Adjust the welding parameters checking the recommended duty cycles for
each of Sumig's torch models mentioned in the replacement parts brochure
attached.
