Verify that both front (CH 1/2) & rear (CH 3/4) equalizers are activated.
A separate LED dedicated to each pair of channels warns the user if the equalizer is
disengaged.
Temporarily turn off the Subwoofer output (if applicable).
Observe the RTA display and visually identify the major peaks in the response.
Start with the lowest frequency major peak.
Find out at which frequency this problem occurs.
Problem Frequency
Find the first excessive peak.

Start with BAND
2 of the front (CH 1/2) & rear (CH 3/4) equalizers (try to save BAND
1 for the low-end boost which will be set later).
Verify if the band covers this problem frequency by looking at the frequency range at
the FREQUENCY control. If it doesn't, move to the next or the previous band.
Turn that particular band's Q-factor (bandwidth) control to 10 (Narrow), and its
BOOST/CUT control to about —5 dB.
Slowly vary the frequency control of the band from low to high frequency (clockwise)
& observe the RTA screen.
Align the dip created by the equalizer with the offending peak.
Problem Frequency
Align the center frequency with the problem
frequency.
