INSTALLATION
NOTE:
This hitch is pre-assembled at the 16.54 in (420 mm) setting. If this setting is correct
based on the measurements taken in the previous steps, you may skip this step and
proceed with installation.
8 Adjust the center section, based on the measurements taken previously.
1 Remove the 4 Leg bolts and Spring Washers from the Center Section.
2 Align the Leg sections with the appropriate bolt hole set that matches closest to
the dimensions calculated for hitch height.
3 Install the 4 Leg Bolts and Spring Washers to the Center Section.
4 Tighten to:
• 18mm Hex Head: 4 (M14) bolts = 175 N•m (129 ft-lb).
• 21mm Hex Head: 4 (M16) bolts = 260 N•m (192 ft-lb).
Installation
1. Make sure the hitch and truck/trailer height clearances are appropriate and safe
for travel. Refer to "Guidelines for Matching Hitch, Truck, and Trailer" before
installing or using the 5th Wheel Hitch.
2. Remove the 4 outer Puck Plugs, if equipped.
