7.1 Make sure that the end of the soldering tip is cleaned and well tinned (coated with solder). The solder on the
tip will melt quickly and thus conduct the heat rapidly to the workpiece. A small amount of additional solder can
be applied to the tip while it is in contact with the workpiece to ensure good heat conduction.
7.2 If possible, connect the workpieces mechanically or fasten them as tightly as possible. possible.
7.3 Heat the soldering tip for a sufficiently long time: at least 15 seconds, up to 30 seconds by to achieve an
optimum operating temperature.
7.4 Place the heated soldering tip directly on the workpiece. Heat the surfaces of the workpiece sufficiently so that
the solder melts on them. Apply the solder directly to the workpiece. Do not melt the solder only at the metal tip
and then let it drip onto the workpiece - this would mean a weak connection between the surfaces to be joined.
Remove the metal tip quickly after the solder has flowed onto the surface of the workpieces.
NOTE: The heat catalyst in the tip has a limited life (approx. 200 hrs.) and may need to be replaced once. You can
buy this replacement from your dealer.
