Intended use
This device is designed to extract dry, non-explosive dust
The unit is intended solely for use in a commercial dental laboratory and dental practice
The intended use also includes compliance with the conditions specified by the manufacturer concerning
operation and maintenance
The extraction unit can be used in combination with a SILENT flow sensor within the scope of measures
to protect against exposure to dust *) as defined by the German ordinance on hazardous substances
("GefStoffV") / respective employers' liability insurance association
For this purpose, the information on low-dust disposal of the extracted material (chapter "Emptying the
dust drawer") and on low-dust replacement of the fine filter (chapter "Replacing the fine filter") in particular
must be observed
In doing so, both the instructions for use of the extraction unit as well as those of the SILENT flow
sensor must be observed.
*) Note for customers in Germany: A validated and recognized dust protection measure in accordance with testing
principle GS-IFA-M20 (issued by the German Institute for Work and Health IFA) shall only be deemed to have
been provided when all components, i.e. the flow rate monitoring unit such as the SILENT flow sensor, the ex-
traction unit, and the detection unit, are validated and recognized
In the case of multi-workbench extraction units and the use of Y-junctions or extractor switches, every suction
channel / every suction point must be fitted with a flow rate monitoring unit.
