Charging the batteries
1. If necessary, remove the battery (24)
from the machine.
2. Slide the battery (24) into the charging
slot of a charger (27).
3. Plug the charger (27) into an outlet.
4. Once charging is complete, disconnect
the charger (27) from the mains supply.
5. Pull the battery (24) out of the charger
(27).
Inserting/removing the bat-
teries
Switch off the machine, remove the
safety key (23) and wait for the bla-
de to come to a stop.
The machine can be operated
with two or with four batteries
of the X 20 V Team series
from Parkside. If you are
using two batteries, they must
be placed one above the other in pairs.
If the batteries are not inserted in the
correct combination, the machine
cannot be activated via the button
the charge level indicator (20) on the cont-
rol panel and the charge status of the bat-
teries is not displayed.

2. To insert the batteries (24), push the
batteries into the machine along the
guide. You will hear them click into pla-
ce.
3. To remove the batteries (24) from the
machine, press the release button (25)
on the battery and pull the batteries
out.
Switching on and off

1. Place the machine on a level surface.

into the machine along the guides. You
will hear them click into place.
3. Insert the safety key (23) into the
opening provided in front of the batte-
ries (24).
4. Before switching the machine on, make
sure that it is not touching any objects.

5. Activate the machine by pressing the
charge level indicator button
on the control panel.
The LEDs on the control panel light
up, the machine is activated and
you can now switch it on.
6. To switch on, press and hold the relea-
for
se button (29) while pulling the start
lever (2) towards the upper bar (1).
7. Let go of the release button.
8. To switch the machine off, release the
start handle (2).
Due to the intelligent energy ma-
nagement, the motor starts up with
a delay (soft start).
The blade will keep rotating
for a few seconds after the
machine has been switched
off. Do not touch the running
blade. There is a risk of per-
sonal injury.
