might burn the eyes and skin;
 Excessive noise impairs hearing. Wear
ear protectors if noise level is high;
 While welding, sparks and metallic
particles might be projected and cause
injuries;
 The weld generates overheating. Hot
surfaces and materials in the working
area may cause serious burns. Wear
gloves and pliers when handling or
moving materials in the working area;
2.5 - MAINTENANCE AND
CLEANING
Before cleaning, adjusting, repairing
and maintenance works, the power
cable must be unplugged.
Replace worn or damaged parts
immediately, so that the machine is
always in a safe operating condition.
Cleaning:
The inverter must be carefully cleaned
after each use.
Do not use
aggressive cleaning
products. These products may damage
plastics and metals, compromising the
safe operation of the equipment.
Maintenance:
Only maintenance works described in
this instruction manual may be carried
out; all other works must be performed
by an official distributor.
If any components or safety devices are
removed for maintenance works, they
must be repositioned immediately.
Use only VITO-approved tools for this
machine or technically identical parts.
Not doing so may result in personal
injuries or damages to the machine. In
case of doubt, you should contact an
official distributor.
2.6 - TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE
This machine must be repaired only by
the brand official technical service or
by qualified technicians and only with
original replacement parts.
3. ASSEMBLY
INSTRUCTIONS
3.1 - TRANSPORTATION STRAP
ASSEMBLY (FIG. C)
1. Insert the transportation handle end
(18) in the inverter's supports (5);
2. Insert the handle's end in the support
rubber (20) and in the length fixation/
regulation accessory (19);
3. Adjust the handle's length in the
length fixation/adjustment accessory;
3.2 - CABLES ASSEMBLY
(FIG. D)
1. Insert the welding clamp cable lead
(13) in the positive terminal (red) (2)
and spin it clockwise;
2. Insert the cable lead with the earth
clamp (14) in the negative terminal
(black) (1) and rotate it clockwise;
The cables
connection must be
performed with the inverter turned off.
Make sure the worn cables are totally
isolated to avoid electric shocks.
3.3 - PROTECTIVE MASK
ASSEMBLY (FIG. E)
1. Insert the strap (16) in the mask's
fittings (17);
2. Press until it is fixed in the mask;
3. Insert the lens in the mask;
4. OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
The inverter was conceived to perform
welding
works
with
as
in
commercial
and
environments. It is a portable tool able
to operate either through electric grid
or generating group.
In the event of using a generator, it must
ensure a proper voltage, frequency
and power supply, according to the
inverter's technical specifications. It
is important to check these conditions
once many generators produce voltage
surges that can damage the inverter.
Use proper tools for each type of
work. Do not overload the inverter.
The inverter is electronically protected
against overcharges; however, constant
overloads will trigger the thermal
protection and reduce the inverter's
lifespan.
When
the
automatically activated, a yellow light
turns on. With the protection activated,
no welding operation will be performed.
It is forbidden to use the inverter with
a duty cycle higher than the values
shown on the technical specifications.
The duty cycle refers to the percentage
of operating time (10 minutes are
considered a cycle). For example, if the
charge duration is 60% it means that
the machine must weld for 6 minutes
and cool down for 4 min.
If the power voltage is lower than the
technical specifications, it might occur
an extremely low welding current or an
instable welding arc. If the voltage is
higher than the technical specifications,
it might succeed the activation of the
thermal protection or an irregular
operation of the inverter.
While using this equipment, some
precautions must be taken into account
to avoid accidents and guarantee a long
inverter's lifespan and safe operation:
 If welding inside small areas, make
sure it is a well ventilated space;
 Do not weld in areas where painting
and cleaning works are being carried
electrodes
out;
industrial
 When welding painted pieces, use a
