Product usage
Before first use
•
Clean the unit before first use ( CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE).
•
The unit may give off a little smoke or a slight odour on the first use. This is normal for
new units and will wear off with regular use. Alternatively, you can turn the unit on for
10 minutes prior to use to remove the smell and smoke.
CAUTION! Do not connect the unit to the power source until it is fully assembled,
filled with oil and you are ready to cook.
NOTE: All handles are made with cool-touch materials for safe handling when
the unit is in use.
Using the deep fryer
Assembly
•
Place the base on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface. Make sure that it is at least
50 cm away from other objects and at least 10 cm from the countertop edge. Make sure
the room is well ventilated. Do not place the unit near open flames or heat sources, such
as a stove, hob or oven.
Fit the oil containers on top of the base.
Slide the heating element-fitted control panel onto the base, making sure to align the
grooves on the back of the base with the tabs below the control panel.
NOTE: A safety switch is located inside the grooves. The control panel must be
inserted correctly to activate the safety switch so you can use the fryer.
Pour frying oil into the oil container to half fill it. The level should be between the MIN
and MAX marks (approx. 0.9 L). Pour the oil slowly to prevent splashing it.
CAUTION! Never use the unit when the oil level is below the MIN mark or above
the MAX mark.
