prevent further damage to the appliance or
injuries to the user.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended
when the plug is attached. Remove the
plug from the socket when the appliance is
not in use and before maintenance.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable or
plug are damaged. To disconnect the

pull the cable around sharp edges or
corners. Do not use the vacuum cleaner
on the cable. Keep the cable away from
hot surfaces.
• Keep your hair, loose clothes, fingers
and all parts of the body away from
openings and moving parts. Do not place
any objects in the openings and do not
use the appliance with the openings
blocked. Keep openings free from dust,
lint, hair and anything that may reduce air
flow.
• This appliance is not suitable for

1.9 Double-insulated appliances*
CAUTION
• Only use the appliance as described in
this manual and only with the accessories
recommended by the manufacturer.
• BEFORE CONNECTING the vacuum
cleaner to the power socket, check the
plate featuring the characteristic data
located on the vacuum cleaner to see if
the rated voltage corresponds to the
available voltage with a tolerance of 10%.
• This appliance is double-insulated. Only
use identical spare parts. Refer to the
instructions for the maintenance of double-
insulated appliances.
In a double-insulated appliance, safety against the
risk of electrocution is no longer provided by the
earth conductor but by increased insulation of the
machine's electrical components.
The earth conductor is not present on the
appliance and must not be added.
Servicing a double-insulated appliance requires
extreme care and knowledge of the system, and
should only be performed by qualified service staff.
Spare parts for a double-insulated appliance must
be identical to the parts to be replaced.
A double-insulated appliance is marked with the
specific symbol (two squares, one inside the other)
on the machine identification label.
The appliance is equipped with a specially
designed cable that, if damaged, must be replaced
with another cable of the same type. It is available
at authorised service centres and dealers, and
must be installed by qualified staff.
