STORING AND MAINTAINING THE PRODUCT
The flexible suction hose (5) can be disconnected from the appliance before storing it.
To do this, turn the base of the flexible suction hose anticlockwise and disconnect it from the
vacuum cleaner [fig. B1].
The suction pipe (3) with the combined brush (4) can be stored by attaching them to the
appliance using the couplings provided (12 or 18); the relevant figures in the illustrative guide
are marked with the parking symbol [fig. F2, F3].
PROBLEM
The appliance will not
switch on.
The appliance switches
off during use and will not
switch on again.
The suction power is poor.
The dust collection system
will not close correctly.
The vacuum cleaner will
emit odours the first couple
of times it is used.
The brush sticks to the floor
too much while vacuuming.
TROUBLESHOOTING
• Check that the supply cord (15) is connected to the mains
supply.
• Make sure that you have pressed the ON/OFF switch (8)
[fig. F1].
• The vacuum cleaner has a motor protection thermostat
that switches the appliance off in the event of overheating
(caused by a blockage in the suction ducts or by the dust
collection system being clogged).
• If it is activated, press the ON/OFF switch, unplug the
supply cord (15) from the mains and leave the vacuum
cleaner to cool completely.
• Remove the dust or the object blocking the suction ducts
before switching the appliance back on.
• The power regulator is at the lowest setting, increase the
suction power.
• The dust container (16) is full: clean the container.
• The filters are clogged: clean or replace the filters.
• Make sure that the HEPA pre-motor filter (16C) is present
and has been fitted correctly.
• Make sure that the dust collection system (16) and the dust
collection container flap (8) have been closed correctly.
• These odours are harmless and will disappear after a short
while. Ventilate the area you are vacuuming thoroughly.
• Decrease the suction power using the electronic power
regulator (6) or the manual air flow adjustment device (2).
