Pull the supply cord (14) out fully up to the yellow mark and plug the appliance into the mains.
The yellow mark on the cord comes before the end of the cord (indicated with the red
mark).

WARNING! DO NOT use this appliance if there are visible
signs of damage.
WARNING!DO NOT use this appliance to vacuum:
• liquids, such as carpet cleaners;
• harp or hard objects, such as nails or large shards of glass;
• fine powder, such as cement;
• toner powder (for laser printers, copy machines, etc.).
CAUTION!DO NOT pull the supply cord beyond the red mark
in order not to damage the appliance.
WARNING!Unwind the supply cord completely to prevent
hazardous overheating.
NOTE: New appliances may give off odours when used for the first time. These odours
are harmless and will disappear after a short while. Ventilate the area you are vacuuming
thoroughly.
• Switch on the vacuum cleaner by pressing the ON/OFF switch (7) briefly [fig. F1].
• Adjust the suction power using the electronic power regulator (7).
Minimum: for curtains and fine or delicate fabrics.
Medium: for standard cleaning on sofas, armchairs, upholstered chairs, rugs and carpets.
Maximum: for smooth flooring.
• The suction power can also be changed using the manual air flow adjustment device (2) on
the handle (1) [fig. E1].
Closed: Increases the suction power.
Open: Decreases the suction power.
• Switch off the vacuum cleaner by pressing the ON/OFF switch (7) briefly and unplug the
supply cord (15) from the mains.
• Press the automatic cable winding button (14) to wind in the electric cable [fig. F1].
When winding in the cable, hold the plug to prevent the cable thrashing around.
