Work Platform Functions
• When F1 is activated as a function, the model switches
from running operation to the work platform functions.
The work platform then goes from Elevation 0 (h0) auto-
matically to Elevation 1 (h1).
Then the work platform can be operated with Functions
F5 to F11.
• In Elevation h0, the work platform cannot be rotated,
since the work platform is locked by a damping element.
In case the work platform is run to Elevation h0, it must be
raised again with F5 to Elevation h1 in order to be able to
rotate it again.
• Regardless of how the work platform is set, you can
switch at any time with Function F1 back to running
operation for the model. The speed controller must then
first be turned to Speed Level 0, if it has not already been
done, so that the locomotive can start up again. Make
sure when running that the work platform does not hang
up on any mast, tunnel, etc. The work platform can be
destroyed by this!
• When Functions F10 or F11 are activated, the work plat-
form can then be lowered or raised again respectively
only by activating the same Function F10 or F11. Please
note that at the end the work platform is run to Elevation
h0 with both functions!
• Since the work platform is safeguarded by a friction
clutch, it can often happen in operation that the work
platform is no longer located where it theoretically should
be. This becomes clear during the initialization of the
work platform.
During the initialization of the work platform with Function
F9, the work platform goes to the electronic start position.
In the event the work platform is not then directly along-
side on the powered rail car roof, then the work platform
must be rotated by hand there (lift slightly if there is
resistance).
