2. USAGE SAFETY
ATTENTION! Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and
instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or
severe personal injury or death.
The terms „device" or „product" are used in the warnings
and instructions to refer to FISH TANK LED LAMP.
2.1. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a)
The plug must fit the socket. Do not modify the plug
in any way. Using original plugs and matching sockets
reduces the risk of electric shock.
b)
Avoid touching earthed elements such as pipes,
heaters, boilers and refrigerators. There is an
increased risk of electric shock if the earthed device is
exposed to rain, comes into direct contact with a wet
surface or is operating in a damp environment. Water
getting into the device increases the risk of damage
to the device and of electric shock.
c)
Do not touch the device with wet or damp hands.
d)
Use the cable only for its designated use. Never use it
to carry the device or to pull the plug out of a socket.
Keep the cable away from heat sources, oil, sharp
edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cables
increase the risk of electric shock.
e)
Do not use the device if the power cord is damaged or
shows obvious signs of wear. A damaged power cord
should be replaced by a qualified electrician or the
manufacturer's service centre.
f)
To avoid electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug
or device in water or other liquids. Do not use the
device on wet surfaces.
g)
ATTENTION! DANGER TO LIFE! While cleaning, never
immerse the device in water or other liquids.
h)
Prevent the device from getting wet. Risk of electric
shock!
2.2. SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
a)
Keep the work area tidy and well lit. Disorder or poor
lighting can lead to accidents. Be foresighted, watch
what you are doing and use common sense when
using the unit.

b)
Do not use the appliance in an explosive area, for
example in the presence of flammable liquids, gases
or dust. The appliance produces sparks that can ignite
dust or fumes.
c)
If you have any doubts as to whether the unit is
working properly or if it is damaged, contact the
manufacturer's service department.
d)
Only the manufacturer's service department may
repair the unit. Do not carry out repairs yourself!
e)
In case of open flames or fire, use only dry powder
or snow (CO
) fire extinguishers to extinguish the live

equipment.
f)
No children or unauthorized persons are allowed
in the work area. (Inattention may result in loss of
control of the unit.)
g)
Check the condition of the safety stickers regularly.
Replace them if they are illegible.
h)
Keep these instructions for use for future reference.
If the unit is to be passed on to a third party, the
operating instructions must also be handed over
together with the unit.
i)
Keep the packaging and small assembly parts out of
the reach of children.
j)
When using this unit together with other units, also
follow the other instructions for use.
2.3. PERSONAL SAFETY
a)
Do not use the device when tired, ill or under the
influence of alcohol, narcotics or medication which
can significantly impair the ability to operate the
device.
b)
When working with the device, use common sense
and stay alert. Temporary loss of concentration while
using the device may lead to serious injuries.
c)
To prevent the device from accidentally switching on,
make sure the switch is on the OFF position before
connecting to a power source.
d)
Do not overestimate your abilities. When using the
device, keep your balance and remain stable at all
times. This will ensure better control over the device
in unexpected situations.
2.4. SAFE DEVICE USE
a)
Do not use the device if the ON/OFF switch does not
function properly (does not switch the device on and
off). Devices which cannot be switched on and off
using the ON/OFF switch are hazardous, should not
be operated and must be repaired.
b)
Device repair or maintenance should be carried out
by qualified persons, only using original spare parts.
This will ensure safe use.
c)
To ensure the operational integrity of the device, do
not remove factory-fitted guards and do not loosen
any screws.
d)
Do not move, adjust or rotate the device in the course
of work.
e)
Clean the device regularly to prevent stubborn grime
from accumulating.
f)
The device is not a toy. Cleaning and maintenance may
not be carried out by children without supervision by
an adult person.
g)
It is forbidden to interfere with the structure of
the device in order to change its parameters or
construction.
h)
Keep the device away from sources of fire and heat.
i)
Do not cover the ventilation openings!

ATTENTION! Despite the safe design of the device
and its protective features, and despite the use of
additional elements protecting the operator, there is
still a slight risk of accident or injury when using the
device. Stay alert and use common sense when using
the device.
3. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
The product is designed to illuminate open tanks. It
is equipped with appropriately selected diode colors
ensuring proper light to the aquarium flora and fauna.
The user is responsible for any damage resulting from
misuse.

3.2. PREPARATION FOR OPERATION
POSITIONING OF THE UNIT
The ambient temperature must not exceed 40°C and
ambient humidity should not exceed 90%. Place the unit in
a way that ensures good air circulation. Maintain a minimum
clearance of 10 cm from any wall of the unit. Keep the unit
away from any hot surfaces. Always operate the unit on a
stable, fireproof surface and out of the reach of children
and persons of impaired mental, sensory and intellectual
functions. Place the unit in such a way that the mains plug
can be reached at any time. Ensure that the power supply to
the unit corresponds to that specified on the identification
plate!
ASSEMBLY OF THE UNIT
Install the device on an open aquarium - in order to adjust it
to the given aquarium size, extend or slide the device's legs
(see the two pictures below) so that the product, resting on
the edges of the aquarium side walls, is well-fitted to them
at the same time.
ATTENTION: The extendable legs are not equipped with
stops; therefore, for safety reasons, they must be extended
and adjusted before mounting the product on an aquarium!
They can be connected to the power supply only after
installation and adjustment of the product.

3.3. WORKING WITH THE UNIT
After connecting to the proper power source, turn the device
on using the switch (B) located on one of the device sides.
You can also change the lighting mode using the same
switch:
•
Position „O" - backlight off.
•
Position „I" - intense blue light (apart from visual
effects it has a positive impact on the rooting and
tillering of aquarium plants)
•
Position „II" - mixed daylight (predominantly neutral
white with accents of blue, violet, green and red - in
addition to visual effects it impacts the mood and
vitality of aquarium fauna)
3.4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
a)
Cleaning and maintenance
Pull the mains plug and let the unit cool down completely
before cleaning, adjusting or replacing accessories
and when the unit is not in use.
b)
Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning
the surfaces.
c)
Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or
immerse it in water.
d)
Make sure that no water enters through the
ventilation openings in the casing.
e)
Clean the ventilation openings with a brush and
compressed air.
f)
Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
g)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. a wire
brush or metal spatula) for cleaning, as these may
damage the surface of the material from which the
unit is made.
h)
Do not clean the unit with acidic substances, medical
products, diluent, fuel, oil or other chemicals as this
may cause damage to the unit.
DISPOSAL OF USED UNITS.
At the end of its useful life, this product should not be
disposed of with normal household waste but should be
taken to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment. This is indicated by the symbol on the
product, operating instructions or packaging. The materials
used in this unit are recyclable according to their marking.
You will be making an important contribution to protecting
our environment by reusing, recycling or otherwise
disposing of used units.
Your local administration will provide you with information
about the appropriate disposal point for used units.
