This instrument is designed for right-hand/left-hand tightening of screws and
nuts in combination with torque wrenches, ratchets or levers with
square drives.
To measure the rotation angle, this instrument does not need any fixed re-
ference point to anchor to.
Operation
Tightening With Set Alarm
1. Press button 3 (on-off) to turn on the instrument. The display will show the
words: "BETA 601 Wait don't move." Do not move the instrument for a few
seconds, thus allowing the internal sensor to perform the calibration
procedure.
2. After initial calibration has been completed, the display will show the
main screen.
3. Use buttons 4 and 5 (+ and -), to set the required angle (SET)
(min. 1° max. 999°).
4. Place the instrument with the required accessories on the screw to tight.
5. Press button 2 (zero) to start measuring the angle.
6. While the screw is being tightened, the green LEDs (7) will start blinking and
the buzzer (11) will emit an intermittent signal starting from 80% of the set
angle. When the set angle is obtained, the buzzer will emit a continuous beep
for 3 seconds and the red LEDs will remain on. Before removing the
instrument from the screw, the actual value of the maximum angle (MAX.)
can be read on the display.
7. To tighten one more screw, place the instrument on the next screw and press
button 2 (zero). When the red LEDs have gone out, the tightening procedure
can be started.
