Introduction
This installation manual summarizes the installation and
operation of Seagate
Note: DDS tape drives are sometimes referred to as "DAT"
The Scorpion 40 uses DDS-4 tape cartridges with a native
capacity of 20 Gbytes (40 Gbytes with 2:1 data compression).
It can also read and write older tapes using DDS-1, DDS-2
and DDS-3 tape formats. Data compression is supported for
all these formats.
