PLEASE NOTE: All depth values are approximate. The actual depth may vary
depending on soil conditions, the condition of the digging chain as well as the
operator's experience.
Digging trenches:
1. With the engine running, idling, and the depth control lever set to "0", push
the handle down to raise the trencher chain.
2. Pull the depth adjusting lever up and slowly move it forward to set the
desired depth.
3. Push the handle down so that the trencher chain is clear of the ground.
Increase the engine speed and hold the handle with both hands. Slowly
reduce the pressure on the handle, allowing the chain to penetrate the soil
until it reaches the desired depth.
4. Pull the machine intermittently as follows: pull the machine 10 to 15 cm
towards you, then relax the pull allowing the trencher to reach the selected
depth again.
5. Repeat step 4 until the task is completed.
Turning the machine off
There are two switches on the machine - one on the handle and one on the
engine. The operator can turn off the machine at any time by setting any
switch to OFF. Both switches must be set to ON to start the engine.
Stopping the engine:
1. Set the ON/OFF switch on the handle to OFF.
2. Move the throttle lever to the IDLE.
